Perform with BASO
Joining the Orchestra
BASO welcomes a wide variety of musicians, whether you are performer with years of professional experience or someone who simply wants to reconnect to music after an extended time away from your instrument. BASO musicians come from a five-county radius which includes Benzie, Manistee, Wexford, Leelanau, and Grand Traverse.
Weekly rehearsals are held from May through October at locations within Benzie County. Music stands and performance folders are provided. Typical seasons include three to four performances. While musicians are encouraged to participate in all rehearsals and concerts, perfect attendance is not required for participation.
Other Volunteer Opportunities
In addition to these regular rehearsals, sectionals may be arranged as needed and opportunities for small ensembles to perform may occur upon request.
