Our Mission

The mission of the Benzie Area Symphony Orchestra is to prepare, promote, and perform orchestral music for audiences in the Benzie County area. The mission is supported by three mutually reinforcing elements:


Artistic Excellence: pursue a standard of excellence in the performance of orchestral music


Musical Development: provide a musical environment that encourages lifelong musical participation and enjoyment


Education: ensure growth in musical skills and knowledge of orchestral music

Our Conductor

The Benzie Symphony Orchestra is led my  Mr. Tom Riccobono, who is an instructor at Interlochen Arts Academy and Interlochen Adult Band Camp and Principal Trombonist with the Traverse Symphony Orchestra. Learn More.

The Benzie Area Symphony Orchestra, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, is supported in part by an award from the Michigan Arts and Cultural Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
